Hi Marcus,

The rationale at Rome was that the instances directory should occur under the same directory as the schemas which are used to validate the instance docs.  It was decided that all Testbed4 instances should be made using the gml 3.2 version schemas.  Future instance docs made using RC2 schemas will be stored in an 'instance' directory under an RC2 branch which will also contain the upcoming RC2 schemas.

I wasn't present at Rome so don't know what discussions were made re this but could I suggest that Testbed 4 instances are put under a
https://www.seegrid.csiro.au/subversion/GeoSciML/instances/Testbed4 directory rather than inside the schema release candidate branch. The instances might be updated to point at further release candidates or even final released versions on www.geosciml.org in the future.
