Testbed4 includes all the instances already written for rc1 and rc2, and future ones written for rc3.

So yes, any instance docs written from now on should use rc3 schemas to be generated after Edinburgh and should go in GeoSciML/branches/3.0.0_rc3/instances.

I'm confused now:
I understand we are about to refactor GeoSciML 3.0 RC2 to GeoSciML 3.0 RC3 for the Edinburgh meeting.
The instances as part of TB4 will test this RC.

Therefore the directory should be GeoSciML/branches/3.0.0_rc3/instances yes?

Depending on whether they are written to validate with RC1 or RC2 or RC3 schemas, I would suggest they go in GeoSciML/branches/3.0.0_rc1_xxx/instances, or GeoSciML/branches/3.0.0_rc2/instances, or GeoSciML/branches/3.0.0_rc3/instances

Hence my concern about renaming the 3.0.0_rc2 directory to “3.0.0“

Hi Marcus,

But the instance docs (and presumably the schematron docs) made for rc2 won’t validate with the rc3 schemas, so we need to keep the rc number in the pathname so that it is clear which instance docs go with which rc version of the schemas.
