Ref: extra meeting at Brisbane - yes I think it would be very good idea to come to you at Canberra Ollie if possible but please make sure it is the week AFTER the IGC (i.e. after or during 6-10th August 2012) not before - it is bad enough that Brisbane IGC is making us miss the 2nd important half of the UK Olympics let alone miss all of it as holding the Geosciml meetings beforehand would do!
Anyway it is not practical earlier anyway.
Tim

Hi all,

Sorry to bother everyone with matters so far away, but I would like to confirm that we plan to have a CGI/IWG/GeoSciML meeting around the International Geological Congress in Brisbane in August 2012? I would like to offer Geoscience Australia in Canberra as a venue for any pre- or post-congress meeting (or we could organise something in Brisbane if the Canberra winter scares you). I just need to know so I can let my superiors know of likely budget requirements for hosting the meeting at my end.

Cheers,
Ollie

Hi all,
Indeed I support the IWG holding the Task Groups meeting around the IGC34.

The Canberra option is fine by me (and one I could guarantee attending).

An alternative may be at GNSS in New Zealand. This would have the added
advantage of further involving NZ who are already a key player in the
OneGeology project.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi all,

I suppose that the best option is Brisbane or Canberra to reduce the impact
of travel budget, that in the last time is very low!

Cheers,

Carlo
