Subject: [TC-chairs] Outreach opportunities for OGC DWGs and SWGs

OGC Working Group Chairs,

Almost every month over the last two years we have provided an 800 word OGC Working Group report to GEOconnexion International magazine. Most of these have reported on the work of Domain Working Groups and most have been authored by the WG chairs. One of the most recent, titled "The language of the Internet of Things<http://www.geoconnexion.com/publications/geo-international/issue/april-2013-international-issue/page/ogc-world>," authored by Steve Liang, is about a SWG.

The editors of GEOconnexion have agreed to keep these available online for the public (previously they were only available to subscribers) are they are interested in continuing to provide this OGC information channel for their readers.

If your WG has not yet been featured in GEOconnexion, or if you would like to provide an updated WG report, please reply to this email and take advantage of this opportunity.

There are, of course, many other magazines and blogs that welcome content from OGC, and the OGC Blog<http://www.opengeospatial.org/blog> is a great place for you to post news and comments related to your work in the Consortium. We welcome your ideas and contributions, and I am happy to help with drafts, editing, reviews, graphics and submissions to the editor. Contributing an article won't take much of your time, and the publicity will contribute to the success of your working groups!

Lance
